The Nelson Research Group
Research Overview

Our group is engaged in all aspects of new reaction design and
development and target-oriented synthesis.  Our reaction
development program focuses on developing catalytic
asymmetric organic transformations emphasizing new C–C bond
constructions.  Projects in these areas are supported by programs
in structural and mechanistic organometallic chemistry.  New
reactions and new methodologies are designed to have broad
applicability to synthesis activities; this goal is validated in our
group in the context of natural product total synthesis.
